About the opportunity

An excellent career opportunity exists for a highly motivated and committed Accounts Administrator to join our Accounts team. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Coordinator, process and reconcile Councillor payments and contract payments, the accurate and timely processing of creditor/debtor invoices and other financial duties as directed.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• Relevant administrative qualifications and/or suitable work experience in a related field
• Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable:

• Demonstrated experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Availability to work flexible working hours
• Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $1,170.00 per week
• 35 hour working week
• Opportunity to participate in Council’s flextime arrangement
