Job Purpose/Background:

The purpose of this role is to develop software solutions for the Information Security technology area of the firm, improving the firm’s operational adaptability, readiness and compliance.

Our team’s responsibilities call for a diverse range of expertise and every member is involved with each phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and can take direction from a different region while collaborating with colleagues/clients around the globe.

Desirable Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Java EE (1.8+) and Core Java applications
• Good understanding of Object Orientated programming
• Apt in Typescript i.e., JavaScript, Angular
• User Interface experience/interest
• Ability to create complex SQL statements (e.g. joins, sub-queries, group by)
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Exposure to JBoss/Wildfly web servers (or similar)
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems/commands
• Experience working with source control such as git
• Testing technology (e.g. Junit, Jest and concepts such as mocking)

Business Unit Overview:

• You will be joining the Information Security Cybertech Development team as a full stack software engineer in a global team responsible for developing web applications (Java/Bootstrap/Angular), data engineering (Perl/Python), mobile applications (iOS) and solutions with third party products.
• The team is responsible for developing several web applications and engineering solutions within third party products. The team members work directly with internal and external clients to source, design, implement, test and close their projects. The successful candidate will join an upbeat, collaborative team and will work independently or as part of a team project.
• In addition to the team’s development opportunities the candidate will be able to participate in firm wide events that fosters growth and collaboration amongst other teams in various events like Security Capture the Flag or Hackathons that drive innovation across all areas of the firm.
