Overview:
The Human Resources Department supports across all organisations in Europe to include: UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. We ensure there are appropriate people policies, processes, programmes, development and capabilities within the business to support our people to succeed.
Role Purpose:
An experienced HR Advisor, you will be providing effective HR advisory and operational support to the Company, managers and employees across allocated business areas/locations. To provide generalist advice and guidance to managers relating to resource and employee relations in line with Company policy, practices and employment legislation. To co-ordinate HR operational activity to the highest standard and adhering to Company quality procedures.
Responsibilities:
Proactively build and maintain relationships with managers to identify people issues and advise/assist in managing issues before they escalate
Management of day to day first level HR issues in line with current legislation, Company policy/processes and best practice including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working and sickness absence
Monitor probation periods in allocated business area to support managers in completing successful probations or extending where appropriate
Support with implementation of People initiatives to ensure they are understood by the business
To support Senior HR Managers with relevant people projects
Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of Company Policies regularly to ensure compliance with current legislation
Proactively review and work within company policies, standard operating procedures, company and legislative updates to ensure you are working in line with best practice and business risk is minimised
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Advisor role, assisting a diverse client base
Strong customer service skills with a flexible, can do attitude
Demonstrable interpersonal skills, able to build positive and collaborative relationships at all levels
Experience in the use of a range of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and the internet
Good organisational skills with an ability to manage own workload and priorities in order to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities
Ability to work as part of a team and a flexible approach in order to adapt to changing work requirements
Ability to produce work of a high standard with a high level of attention to detail
