We are looking for Virtual School Education Manger for Children not Looked After to play a key role working with the Virtual School Team in ensuring that BwD fulfils its statutory duties in relation to Previously Looked After Children and the non-statutory duties for Children with a Social Worker (not looked after). You will work directly alongside the Virtual School Headteacher, Education Manager Children in our Care, Virtual School SEND Lead and our wider support team. The successful candidate will:

• Take the lead role working strategically with the VSH in ensuring that BwD fulfils its statutory responsibilities in relation to Previously Looked after Children and to Children with a social worker (not looked after).
• Develop a strategy which makes visible and responds to the disadvantages children with a social worker can experience.
• Work with social workers, schools/education settings and other professionals so they are supported to develop effective and inclusive practice for children with a social worker.
• Representing the Virtual School Head at relevant meetings and in management of the Virtual School team

Please note that the post is NOT remote – there will be opportunity for some home working but there will be weekly time in the office.
