We are seeking a BAS Sales Engineer for a full time position in the Long Island, NY area.

BAS Sales Engineer

Pay: $80K – $115K salary + Commission + Bonus($130k up to $220k total annual comp / no cap) + Employee benefits

Responsibilities

• Identify, prepare and provide competitive quotes and project proposals for the supply and installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Prospect and network to bring aboard new sales opportunities.
• Develop new, and maintain existing, relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, and end users.
• Review specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings, site walk through, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Review bid documents for completeness, accuracy and coordination with other trades.
• Work on multiple opportunities concurrently. Prepare bids/proposals/quotations, including costs, resources, time and labor. Respond to customer queries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years technical sales experience with successful track record for Building and facility automation
• Andover Controls / Schneider Electric / Distech / DDC / BAS/ Building Automation Systems product knowledge is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Electronic Control Systems and HVAC
• Engineering, math or science degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to understand legal and construction documents.
