Black Book Resourcing Looking for Graduate Engineer at Canvey Island, Essex Full Time

Are you a junior / graduate engineer with at least 12 months on-site experience? Do you have an interest in civils and marine projects? Are you ready to step up to your next big challenge?

Black Book Resourcing LTD, the civil engineering and groundworks specialist, are looking for a Junior / Graduate Engineer to work for a leading civil engineering and marine contractor. You will be initially working on a flag ship project in Canvey Island, working alongside a senior engineer and reporting to the project manager, you will be required to do the following:

Junior / Graduate Engineer key responsibilities:

• Producing engineering designs and details in accordance with project requirements
• Preparing calculations, writing reports, and checking drawings
• Checking design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
• With the support of your project manager, plan and prioritise your workload, reporting back on progress against a project budget and programme
• Being responsible for delivering your own work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through a diligent and conscientious approach to self-checking
• Attending site visits or client meetings as required

Junior / Graduate Engineer skills:

• Completed or working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree either in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Engineering Geology and Geotechnics (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) and aspire to become a Chartered Engineer
• At least 12 months on-site experience
• Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments
• CSCS
