We are hiring an experienced catering prep cook for our Nashville kitchen. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will be confident, hard-working, quality-focused and passionate about food. Must be a hands-on chef or cook who is trustworthy, punctual and personable. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment and grow with us.

Your daily focus:

• Execute efficient and high quality production following recipes, cleanliness, organization and other company standards
• Ensure proper sanitation guidelines and health department standards are maintained
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces and taking out trash
• Monitor and manage portion control, food and packaging standards
• Carefully manage inventory
• Help deliver food and participate in on-site catering events as required
• Perform other kitchen duties as are necessary

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum one year experience as prep or lead cook in large volume catering
• Punctual and always on-time
• Working knowledge of commercial kitchen health and safety rules
• Understands diverse cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
• Ability to follow recipes, calculate daily prep and manage production
• Self-motivated with strong attention to details
• Action-oriented with a healthy sense of urgency
• Possess a genuine desire to work as a team
• Able to remain positive and professional under pressure
• Able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching
• Willingness and ability to learn and follow directions carefully
• Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
