Bitcentral provides efficient and customized software solutions that help media teams improve and maximize their workflows. We are looking for a developer to help us design/code/test new features for existing and future products. Our systems are primarily used for broadcast TV News production and Master control. Most of the work we do involves tracking, transferring and manipulation of video files. Additionally, we have components for streaming video, broadcast quality recording/playout of video to SDI, and integration with 3rd party systems.

The responsibilities of the job include creating and updating C# .NET Core backend services, interfacing with SQL databases, and C++ work with vendor SDKs.

Our products are deployed both on physical servers at customer sites and to our AWS Cloud environments. We’re looking for a team player who has excellent object-oriented design skills, high programming productivity, knowledge of low-level systems programming, and who is interested in learning about video streaming and distribution, TV news, master control, etc. Our projects are run using SCRUM with stable teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Development, APIs, Microservices, Cloud Infrastructure
• Proficiency (5+ years) in C#, C++, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Microsoft Full Stack

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Hands-on experience working with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, ECS, Fargate)

• Prior experience with HLS, video transcoding technologies and FFMPEG is highly desired
• Familiarity with AWS MediaConvert or other streaming frameworks

• Familiarity with Electron, Angular
• Experience with real-time programming

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Minimum)
