An excellent opportunity for an administrator with strong organisation, communication and project management skills to join a strategic team and support the implementation of Birkbeck’s new vision and strategy for education and student experience.

We are seeking an experienced administrator(s) to join our small team in the Education Directorate. As Education Strategy Coordinator, you will play a key role supporting the implementation of the College’s new corporate strategy Vision 2021-26.

The postholder will support the Director of Education Strategy in all aspects of the work of the Education Directorate, take responsibility for key areas of activity and ensure the effective operation of all its administrative processes and systems in the department.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a passion for education and the student experience to join a strategic team that is leading the transformation of Birkbeck’s portfolio of courses for 2023 entry, introducing a new framework for innovation in teaching, learning and assessment and preparing for the next Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

In order to be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have proven experience in an administrative role with competing priorities. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills with an ability to work well with colleagues at a range of different levels across the College in order to deliver projects successfully on time. Understanding of and experience in the higher education sector will be important in this role.

Remuneration:

Grade 7 of the the College’s London Pay Scale which is £39,173 rising to £44,775 per annum.

The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.

The post is full-time and we require full-time cover but we would consider applications for job share on the basis of two 0.5FTE appointments. Applicants should indicate clearly in the application if they are applying on this basis.
