Job Purpose: *

You will be working on a novel, patent-pending software solution for remote video surveillance and facility monitoring, combining audio/video streaming, machine learning and business transaction processing. Our new colleague is expected to work on designing, implementing and documenting all aspects of infrastructure for the software system we are developing from scratch.

Areas of Responsibility: *

• Designing, provisioning, monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure, using infrastructure-as-code tools
• Improving and maintaining CI/CD process with python, C++ and Java development teams, using containerization and code quality tools
• Maintaining and administering databases on public cloud platforms
• Setting up observability tools for monitoring of correctness and performance of entire infrastructure, across multiple environments

Technology Requirements:

• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (such as Jenkins)
• Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS or GCP)
• Experience with containerization and its use on cloud platforms (such as Docker and ECR)
• Experience with relational and document databases on cloud platforms (such as RDS and DocumentDB)
• Understanding of API-driven and messaging software systems
• Linux based administration skills
• Use of infrastructure-as-code on cloud platforms (such as Terraform) is a plus
• Use of observability platforms (such as Grafana) is a plus
• Experience with audio/video streaming platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with either Java or C++ build systems is a plus

Nice to have:

• AWS DevOps, Solutions Architect certification
• AWS SysOps Administrator certification

Other Requirements:

• A degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field
• Good verbal and written English language skills
• Ability to work with teams distributed in Canada and Serbia
• Partial remote work from home is an option. Candidate must be able to occasionally work from our office in Belgrade.
