Role Purpose*
The HR Adviser provides a professional, confidential, administrative, and advisory HR service to the business, including generalist HR support, coaching and guidance in employee relations, recruitment and development. They will support the HR Operations Lead and Recruitment Partner with recruitment administration, HR project work and employee relations matters as needed.

Key Responsibilites : *
Generalist HR support:

• Build effective working relationships with employees at all levels, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure effective communication of good HR practice.
• Contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures in accordance with the legal framework of employment legislation and best practice.
• Support Managers during formal meetings, including investigations, absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance hearings and advise on way forward in line with company policy.

Recruitment and Selection:

• Support the Recruitment Partner with the administration of recruitment campaigns including: advertising vacancies, collating applications and data, corresponding with candidates, assisting with the shortlisting and selection process and any other associated recruitment administration.
• Support hiring managers in preparing job descriptions and person specifications as well as identifying and engaging recruitment service providers for specialist/difficult to fill roles
• Prepare Offer letters and Contracts of Employment as required for new employees and ensure Right to Work checksare undertaken prior to employment commencing.

• Liaise with Managers and other internal departmental functions such as IT and Finance, to prepare onboarding arrangements for new starters.

• Monitor recruitment and selection data to contribute to HR MI reports which inform decision-making.

Sickness Absence:

• Provide advice and guidance on, absence management issues, return to work processes and referrals to Occupational Health as appropriate.

• Ensure all absence is recorded correctly by Managers in Bamboo HR in a timely manner and return to work discussions have been completed.

• Highlight any absence and attendance concerns and make recommendations to HR Operations Lead for appropriate support as required.

Onboarding and Offboarding processes:

• Supporting new employees with completion of self-serve areas on the Bamboo HR system.

• Acknowledge any resignations in writing and liaise with other relevant departments of leaver as appropriate both internally and externally.

• Conduct Exit Interviews and capture key themes for further analyses to present to the business.

Payroll processing:

• Liaise with Finance on any payroll queries and maintain and validate personnel records the HR Bamboo system.

Maintain employee records (Bamboo HR):

• File and record any changes to employees personal and employment records.

• Document any HR discussions and save them on HR Bamboo system.

• Check the HR system for any incomplete personal data areas or unsigned documents.
• Undertake quarterly reviews of holiday accruals and transparently share information to encourage employees to take holidays in a timely manner.

Monthly reporting:

• Generate monthly reports for business report on Recruitment activity, New starters, Absence, Holiday accruals, Leavers, Attrition rate and any other relevant HR data as required by the business.

General Administration:

• Carry out general administration tasks for the HR Department, for example – devising standard Human Resources documents and letters.

• Respond to reference requests for current or former employees.

• Any other duties that are reasonably requested by management within the capability of the incumbent.

• Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator both verbal and written formats.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Team player with proactive approach.
• Previous working knowledge of HR Systems desirable.
• CIPD Level 2 desirable
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
