Our company is located in Mitchell, ON a rural community situated in Perth County close to Stratford, and centrally located to London, and Kitchener. Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for job scheduling, supervising production personnel as well as ensuring production personnel are properly trained and following all safety procedures. The Production Supervisor would report directly to the Production Manager and would coordinate their responsibilities with the production management team comprised of the Production Manager, Production Director, and Materials Manager. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are a job requirement.

Job Duties/Requirements:

· Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

· Will be directly involved with the hands-on operation in the manufacturing facility.

· Coordinate with the Materials Manager and the Production Manager to ensure the following based on each weeks production schedule:

o releases are available for all raw materials and packaging

o ensure the proper disposition and location for all raw materials and packaging items

o ensure all batch records and other relevant documentation required for production is available to the operators in a timely manner

· Coordinate with the production management team to identify and implement training as required.

· Ensure production employees understand and adhere to BAM’s employee manual and GMP production requirements.

· Review completed batch records, discuss errors with operators and ensure they are corrected.

· Ensure warehouse(s) are cleaned according to SOP’s.

· Arrange proper storage of finished product, raw materials and packaging items in controlled areas.

· Make certain that written procedures associated with raw materials, finished product, including sanitation, are followed.

· Ensure optimal operation of equipment by coordinating with the Maintenance Department for scheduled maintenance or repair requests.

· Report to Management of any immediate Health & Safety concerns or any non-compliance with Health & Safety policies.

· Inform the JHSC of any Health & Safety concerns.

· Complete with employee WSIB Form 7 when required and forward to Human Resources.

Educational Experience/Background

· Preferably 5 years of experience in the Food and Drug Industry as a Production Supervisor.

· Degree in a related field of study is preferred.

· Previous people management experience.

· Good written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

· Knowledge of GMP is a requirement.

New Employee Bonus Program: $10,000 bonus for Full-time employees that are actively employed at BAM between Jan 1st, 2022 to Jan 1st, 2025. The bonus will be prorated based on days of active employment during this time.
