Bingo Loco Hiring for Accounts Assistant Job at County Durham Full Time

We are looking for a part qualified accountant or experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant Technician to join our team. This role will support the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly group accounts across 4 territories.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team but also shows initiative to complete the tasks required on their own.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Processing purchase bills and invoices
• Drafting sales invoices and following up on unpaid debtors
• Completing account and bank reconciliations
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Assisting with management reporting and business analysis
• Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and monthly variance reports
• Assisting with the preparation of tax returns, VAT returns as well as other statutory returns.

Experience/Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or similar
• Experience in Xero accounting software (required)
• Part qualified ACCA/ACA or similar (preferred)
• 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in Microsoft excel

In the short term the successful applicant will be required to provide their own laptop as our accounting software is cloud based
