Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Content Writing Coordinator to join the Marketing team for a 4-8 month co-op term starting May 1st. The Content Writing Coordinator will be responsible for building a deep understanding of Binary Stream’s brand and market, creating micro copy and blogs that reflect its position as a SME, and contribute to the content team’s ongoing success. As a member of Binary Stream’s Marketing team, the Content Writing Coordinator will help track content success, optimizing blogs and landing pages for conversion and readership, and will be assisting the team in creating convincing message and story around our solutions. Success in this role is defined by the person’s ability to write content that is useful to Binary Stream’s network of partners and customers, and by the content’s performance metrics.

A typical day as a Content Writing Coordinator:

• Build a deep understanding of our company brand voice and adhere to our style guide to execute on projects across the entire customer lifecycle.
• Work closely with the content team and others to build out the assets on our content calendar including blogs, case studies, ads, news, press releases, landing page copy, infographics, and emails.
• Monitor trends and news in our space and look for newsworthy topics we can repurpose in our content.
• Learn to use SEO tools, analytics tools, and then use these to improve and streamline your work.
• Build and schedule social media calendars based on the content strategy.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
• Experience writing articles to a publishable standard.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• A natural curiosity and willingness to learn along with strong research skills.
• Knowledge of the SaaS space and cloud platforms in an asset.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
• Familiar with digital marketing and content creation best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
