Bill Dodge Automotive Group Hiring for HR Generalist Job at Westbrook, ME Full Time

The Bill Dodge Auto Group is searching for an experienced HR professional with excellent communication skills, technical knowledge about HR-related issues, and the ability to handle a variety of daily tasks and long term projects.

The ideal candidate will possess time management and organizational skills. This role is not a remote position and the expected hours are 40-43 per week.

Primary Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding – 60%

• Overseeing talent acquisition and recruitment lifecycle processes
• Scheduling and conduct employee onboarding
• Completing new hire I-9 forms and submitting them to e-verify

General HR Support, Personnel Support, and Administration – 25%

• Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as FMLA and worker’s compensation
• Reinforcing company policies, rules and procedures to ensure employees’ safety and ensure consistency
• Providing a safe environment for employees to share concerns or ideas and work to establish resolutions when needed
• Maintaining company review software to ensure employee information and review cycles are kept current
• Maintaining employee files and records and overall HR-related administrative duties
• Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Ensuring all Federal and State law posters are up to date and visible to employees. Sending out communication regarding any upcoming changes to laws
• May be required to provide vacation coverage to other members of the personnel department including but not limited to payroll

Company Culture, Employee Engagement, and Appreciation – 15%

• Participating in employee led committees and actively demonstrate a commitment to company’s core values
• Organizing Employee Appreciation events, contests, etc.
• Working with members of leadership to identify, recognize, and celebrate employee accomplishments and life events

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field or applicable work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience working in the human resources field as an associate or generalist
• 2 year’s previous recruitment experience including utilization of various external recruitment sources is required
• Must possess a strong understanding of general human resource policies and procedures as well as employment/labor laws
• Work well in team environment, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of employees
• Excellent communication and people skills with capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Outstanding knowledge of MS office and HRIS systems (e.g. Workforce) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
