Regional Buyer

Location: Grangemouth

Bilfinger are currently recruiting for a Regional Buyer to join their team

The role manages the tactical purchasing activity across a number of operational sites in the Region and ensure the goods and services the sites needs are acquired for the best value for money.
Focal point for purchasing activity in the Region and act as liaison between Central Procurement and the sites deploying national agreements at a local level and measuring and reporting on their performance
Identify and deliver savings opportunities at site and Regional level.
Strong negotiating skills and the ability to challenge suppliers in respect of prices, lead times and general performance
Strong understand of ERP systems, SAP preferable

• Strong understanding of SAP and Microsoft packages

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience within a service organisation for the refining/manufacturing/process or similar industries/EPC.
• Knowledge and understanding of the operational aspects of service delivery within the above sector of supply.
• Working knowledge and experience within the electrical, mechanical and general engineering disciplines.
• CIPS Graduate Diploma
