The Role

Working in the Big W Availability Team, the newly created role of Project Manager will be responsible for leading the integration of large and complex technical projects within the Program. You will be held accountable for the development, execution, and realisation of multiple business critical projects from concept through to sustainability. This is a permanent full-time role.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Include

• Establishment of Business requirements
• Ensure Project scope is managed to deliver time, cost and quality outcomes with good financial, risk and resource management
• Development and execution of all typical project artefacts and control methods (Charter, Schedules, Risk, Issues, Dependencies, Financials)
• Establish effective governance forums
• Manage Governance approvals and roadmaps for agreed projects
• Provide status ing regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks/ issues, and communicating across various levels of leadership
• Engagement of business customers in facilitating decisions that involve functional trade offs and risks
• Ensure end state teams are ready to accept the change – BAU transition
• Effect project closure and team redeployment
• Coaching and mentoring indirect team members in problem solving, project management and governance deliverables
• Ensure effective cross collaboration, covering divisional, departmental, core project team and external business partners
• Ensure change impact assessments and readiness reviews are completed for all projects delivered

• Demonstrable project management experience & supporting qualifications
• Ability to effectively manage conflict resolution
• Strong commercial and business acumen, including Business case development
• Strong problem solving skills – thinking quick on your feet
• Proficient with Project scheduling tools (MS Project, SmartSheets); presentation tool sets (Google Slides, MS Powerpoint) & financial toolsets (SAP, MS Excel)
• Experience in Replenishment and/or Supply Chain projects or operations
• Experience in commercial engagements, establishing contracts, legal revision, legal execution
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies & experience establishing PMO practices (desirable)
