Big Sandy Lodge, LLC Hiring for Lodge Cook & Grill Cook at Boulder, Wyoming Full Time

We are a remote mountain lodge, located outside of Boulder, WY, at the Big Sandy Trail-head into the Jim Bridger Wilderness. We have 10 rustic cabins and the main lodge and we also offer guided trail rides, gear drops, and fishing and hunting trips. We are a small, family owned and family operated business looking for employees that value the wilderness experience as much as we do. Because of our remoteness, staff lives at the lodge.

Remote = No Electricity and No Cell Signal.  We get by well with propane fridges and stoves, have a battery-powered dish for some internet use, and use a generator for various tasks. There is also a cell signal about a 15-minute drive away.  This is the place to come if you are able and ready to go without technology for a while.

Summer Job: ASAP – Mid October 
Cook 1: Cook will prepare food to order from a small menu.  Mainly burgers, sides, and homemade desserts.  Serving as many as 100 customers per day at the peak of our season.  Must be organized, have good communication skills, and be friendly with guests as they will love to talk to you.

Cook 2: Cook will prepare ranch/buffet style breakfast and dinner for cabin guests. All staff also eat what the cook has prepared. The average number of guests is 15-25 per night, sometimes more and sometimes less. We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking and is good at it. We serve homestyle/comfort foods. Cook can make the menu. Must be organized, have good communication skills, and be friendly with guests. Must be flexible with schedule as some days will be long and some will be short.

Preference to applicants who enjoy the outdoors and ranch style life and that have experience in camping, hiking, etc. The lodge only has power when the generator is on (1-3 hours a day), so there will be a lot of peace and quiet.
