Job Summary
As a Business Development Representative at Big Health, your role is to generate qualified sales leads that result in incremental sales growth. You’ll work closely with members of both the Sales & Commercial team to drive new business from our target accounts. You will be a critical part of our growth engine, responsible for outbound prospecting and identification of new opportunities.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Meet or exceed individual performance targets based on inbound/outbound call/email volume and qualified opportunity generation
  • Conduct discovery and research to identify decision makers within targeted accounts
  • Identify and apply creative approaches to generate quality leads at qualified organizations by email, phone, social media, direct mail, etc.
  • Secure and schedule introductory meetings with prospects through personalized nurturing and education on Big Health’s value proposition
  • Support targeted outreach around our marketing and sales events
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities
  • Maintain and demonstrate deep knowledge of Big Health’s solutions, industry trends, and competition


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 yrs experience in an outbound prospecting role at a fast growing health benefit company or startup
  • Demonstrated experience generating qualified sales leads that have converted to measurable business opportunities
  • Strong prospecting skills and experience using various outreach tools to maximize efficiency
  • A collaborative team-player who is able to communicate and work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Partnerships
  • Creativity and tenacity in handling prospect’s objections, questions, concerns etc. with a sense of urgency
  • Strong written communication skills in writing persuasive prospecting emails
  • Working knowledge of B2B sales
  • A self-starter with an innate drive for growth and exceeding expectations
  • Highly organized and able to manage time against deadlines
