What you will do

The Fun Club Educator is responsible for providing quality education and care to all children attending the service. The role is also responsible for building relationships with families, and assists in developing and implementing the centre’s program to cater for each child’s needs. A First Aid and CPR certificate are required for a Fun Club Educator, if you are willing to obtain or already hold both, this is a great first step towards applying.

Adhering to the National Quality Standards, the position also assists with day-to-day operational tasks, including but not limited to supervision, serving meals, housekeeping, participating in group time and keeping a safe work environment for staff and children.

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience working with children
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with children and families
• Ability to work harmoniously within a team environment
• A good level of physical fitness
• Capacity to contribute actively to the efficient and effective operation/development of a high quality outside school hours care service
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, an inclusive curriculum, child protection and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
• Previous experience providing support to children with additional needs (desirable)
• Certificate IV (OSHC), Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or relevant tertiary studies (desirable)
• Evidence from the Australian Immunisation Register that you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a medical contraindication
