Assistant Accountant – Covent Garden

Full time – £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

Our Assistant accountant is responsible for ensuring all transactions are posted on Xero accounting system including AP, Credit cards reconciliation as well as Bank reconciliation. The successful candidate will also assist with management accounts, flash reporting, Cloud Kitchen accounting and stock reconciliation.

Additionally, you will be responsible to assist the Financial Controller with all balance sheet controls and flash reporting especially on Food, Beverages and Non consumables

This is a hands-on financial position requiring flexibility and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Tasks:

• Daily & weekly Sales reporting
• Reconcile high volume aged creditor listings
• Posting of invoices for multiple restaurants-High volume
• Setting up payment run following supplier reconciliation for FD sign off
• Cash and credit card reconciliation including advance deposits and Gift cards
• Maintain expense system and backup data for easy reference
• Assist with prepayment and accruals for multiple restaurants
• Assist with inter-company reconciliations
• Keep on top of high-volume accounts inbox
• Support the finance and operation team for adhoc reporting
• Assist with Tronc and payroll as and when needed
• Maintain Fixed Asset register and keep it reconciled
• Assist with VAT, PAYE for the group
• Assist with HMRC/government agency reporting as needed

Who you will be:

• Part qualified CIMA / AAT / ACCA
• Previous experience & knowledge of working within a restaurant group / the hospitality sector is essential
• You must have a methodical and detailed approach to work with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently.
• Knowledge of restaurant software like NCR Aloha, Tenzo, Fourth payroll & inventory, Planday payroll and Marketman for inventory – or similar
• Your communication skills will be exceptional, and you will be confident in dealing with people over the telephone and over email.
• Previous experience of using Xero software would be advantageous

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
