About the role
We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our professional and busy Finance Team based in Edinburgh. The role reports to the Finance Manager and will work with team to ensure that the Finance function of Bield is carried out accurately, efficiently and timeously.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out as part of a team all procedures relating to the processing of income and expenditure, ensuring all relevant transactions are posted accurately and timeously, reacting to tight timescales which arise.
• Carry out regular supplier payment runs and maintenance of related records including upload of payment details into Bank line and Autopay.
• Raise regular customer invoices and the maintenance of related records including Local Authority and BR24 customer invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and staff to resolve any queries relating to payments and income.
• Regular download of maintenance supplier invoices from relevant systems such as CTX, CX and Keystone.
• Preparation of Rent Refunds as and when required including making adjustments to tenant accounts.

About You
You will have knowledge of basic financial procedures, policies and accounting code structures. You should have previous experience of working with financial software systems and able to demonstrate a good level of ICT skills, in particular MS Office including Excel.

As well as excellent numeracy skills, you will have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet operating deadlines. You should have strong oral and written communication skills, with a good customer service focus.

You will be educated to HNC level (or equivalent). An AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
