About the Role

The Consultant role at Biarri Networks will be responsible for:

• Completing OSP design and engineering work for customer projects; using Biarri’s existing tools and processes.
• Gathering requirements and developing technical processes for designing fiber optic networks on our customer projects; using a combination of GIS tools and Biarri’s patented optimisation software.
• With guidance from more senior team members, a Consultant will adapt existing processes, create new tools and processes, define and document necessary updates, assist in training the Design Team, and liaise with our customers.

What you bring to the table

• Diligent work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to get it right.
• Ability to work with customers to understand their requirements, communicate our capabilities, and define a valid technical solution.
• Work with Project Management, Quality Assurance and Network Planning teams to establish and deliver projects effectively.
• Utilise existing tools as needed to suit projects, and work with Product Management and Software Development teams to implement new tools and features as required.
• Develop and maintain a positive technical relationship with our customers, ensuring that project deliverables are meeting their expectations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our tools and processes

What we’re looking for

Required:

• This role will be best suited for a recent graduate from the following disciplines: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Science; or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, whilst staying organized
• Exceptional communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-awareness and empathy to maximize your user and team interactions
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop new skills and industry knowledge
• Basic experience in Python programming, or a similar language

These are some nice-to-haves:

• Experience in a technical, customer facing role
• Knowledge of fiber optic design and/or telecommunications
• Knowledge or experience working with GIS data (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, etc.)
