Position Details

Wage: $26-$28/hour
Status: 18-month term, full time
Hours: 6 hours daily; 30 hours per week
Shift: Variable between 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Position Summary

The Software Implementation Coordinator oversees the successful prospecting, implementation and integration of three new software platforms for BGC South Vancouver Island including outcomes software, SAGE replacement and a donor database. Key to this role is developing implementation and integration strategies based on organizational needs, functional requirements, security, scalability and cost/ROI. The Software Implementation Coordinator will prospect, plan, and make recommendations for software purchase, as well as implement, monitor and troubleshoot the software implementation and integration process with a pragmatic approach to minimize barriers and resistance to change. The Software Implementation Coordinator trains employees on using the software, develops user-friendly training plans, and train-the-trainer training materials and provides ongoing guidance and support to software users and trainers. The Software Implementation Coordinator provides expertise in accordance with BGC South Vancouver Island’s Mission and Core Values and all governing employment and human rights acts and regulations

Desired Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in computer information science, information technology or related field
• Minimum 2 years consultative experience
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

• Strong client relationship-building skills
• Sound technical knowledge
• Well-developed MS Office skills with solid experience in database systems
• Maintaining a high level of discretion while working with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
• Action oriented with ability to organize and prioritize time-sensitive and high volume workload
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to transform “tech speak” into simple to understand language
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
