Role and Responsibilities:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales within their targeted accounts. This role will work closely with the other sales team members to achieve agreed upon goals for the US business. The role will also help shape our strategic approach for future expansion. As the business evolves and grows, the role will continue to evolve. Specifically, the role covers the following:
· Management of day to day buyer relationships on assigned accounts
· Plan out annual budgets for accounts, aligning BFree growth vision with maximizing performance in accounts.
· Provide leadership and strategic insight to BFree management team with agreed gap closing initiatives
· Identify gaps and key product areas for BFree in the US to capture new business
· Identify possible new accounts for BFree and work on developing key relationships within these accounts to grow new business for BFree
· As the business grows, identify support areas that are needed for further growth
· Manage rolling forecast sheet to plan for stock needs, with constant interaction with supply chain team
· Manage and implement effective trade promotional plans across all accounts
· Maximize company profit and operating costs relating to your key accounts
· Create and implement sales strategies to ensure company remains competitive and innovative
· Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions
Requirements :
· Bachelor’s Degree required
· Minimum of 5 years’ overall experience in Food /FMCG company with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a focus on Kroger, KeHe, UNFI or Safeway accounts
· Bakery brand experience is preferred
· Demonstrated success with trend analysis, market monitoring, and measuring results
· Must be highly analytical and strategic, an astute problem solver, and business savvy
· Strong decision-making skills, especially in the face of ambiguity
· Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
· Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead diverse groups
· Successfully lead through complexity and change and easily adjust the organizational direction based on new conditions
