Beyond Education Tutoring Hiring for Primary English and Maths Tutor Job at Manchester, England Full Time

THIS JOB IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION! Successful candidates will work from Beyond Education’s tuition centre at least once per week.

Beyond Education is an Ofsted regulated tutoring company in Urmston, Manchester. We tutor children aged 4-18 in English, maths, science and also for school entrance exams. Children are tutored face-to-face in our centre.

We are looking for someone to join our team who;

• has a passion for teaching the primary curriculum for maths and English
• is available to work at least Tuesday 4-8pm, Friday 4-8pm and/or Saturdays 9am-3pm (plus other weekday evenings if you wish)
• The position is suitable for: any trainee teachers working towards their qualified teacher status (QTS); university graduates interested in the education and working with children; qualified teachers; candidates with previous tutoring experience; those interested in education and working with children/students

Expected/non negotiable;

• Subject to enhanced DBS check
• Able to work independently using initiative as well as working as part of a team
• English and maths GCSEs grade B or above
• A levels or equivalent
• Subject to references
• Available to work at least one evening per week or Saturdays
• Committed to at least one regular shift per week (to enable continuity for children)

Desired/preferred;

• DBS check on update service
• holding or working towards qualified teacher status, working towards or completed and academic degree and/or previous tutoring experience
• Experience of teaching phonics (reception and year 1)
• Experience of teaching across the primary key stages
• Experience teaching towards Trafford grammar school exams

Successful candidates will;

• Teach primary school students on a 1:1 basis and also some older children depending on experience and subject knowledge. Qualified teachers will also teach small group sessions.
• Support staff that may have less experience (training, guiding, mentoring)
• Plan effectively for their sessions
• Ensure resources are organised and ready to teach before sessions
• Liaise with colleagues and parents regarding students progress

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-28 per week

Salary: £9.90-£30.00 per hour
