The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Adviser to support our operations and retail stores across Australia on a range of ER, recruitment and generalist HR matters.

This role is full-time and based at the Betts Group Head Office in Osborne Park. It is a rare opportunity to be an integral part of the national retail industry while being based in Perth.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will take responsibility for:

• Working closely with the leadership team and other stakeholders such as the National Retail Manager, Regional Retail Managers and Store Managers to provide timely and accurate HR advice and support
• Supporting Managers with recruitment and on-boarding
• Developing, monitoring and updating HR initiatives including but not limited to; policies, procedures, employment contracts, Industrial Flexibility Arrangements and WGE reporting
• Researching and assisting with interpretation of the relevant award, enterprise agreement and legislation
• Working closely with payroll to ensure compliance to legislative requirements and to address payroll queries from employees (no operational payroll responsibilities required)
• Case Management of workers’ compensation matters and occupational, health and safety matters
• Reviewing HR Budgets
• General transactional and administrative HR duties
• Undertaking project work as required

To be successful in the role, you must be able to demonstrate you have:

• A tertiary or relevant qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years strong generalist post-graduate HR/IR experience
• Ability to critically analyse and resolve issues
• Excellent communication skills and proven well-developed written skills
• A strong work ethic with a drive to achieve results
• Ability to work independently
• Capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously & meet deadlines
• Experience with World Manager would be an advantage.
