TITLE: Communications Services

TO: Director of Business Development

POSITION GOAL: Professionally and efficiently support marketing and communications efforts, effectively assist in ongoing administration of programs and provide excellent customer service to members and the public.

BBBs across North America. Its primary mission is to connect with good businesses and to educate consumers and businesses on how to avoid scams. It serves 28 counties in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas; has over 4,400 BBB Accredited businesses (members); delivers over 1.2 million s on Mid-South businesses to consumers annually; has 20 employees; is financially strong. It’s governed by a 34- member Board of Directors comprising owners and executives of leading companies and organizations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to membership and media team as needed
• Identify media opportunityand consumers willing to be interviewed using the BBB’s Scam Tracker service.
• Accurately and professionally assist in the creation, implementation, and distribution of communications and marketing materials and programs, to include invoice stuffers, direct mail pieces, and print/electronic newsletters
• Assist with non-dues revenue projects, including digital advertising and billboards
• Consult with BBB Accredited Businesses regarding their BBB Profiles, to include adding, photos, logos, hours of service and other information
• Assist BBB Accredited Businesses in loading the BBB seal on their websites and in utilizing the BBB’s customer reviews app
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Self-starter, self-directed, takes initiative
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good command of Microsoft Office & Excel programs, Internet and other PC skills
• Expertise in social media marketing
• Excellent customer service skills
• Graphic art training/experience needed
• College degree preferred

STARTING SALARY

• $30,000 yearly- plus incentive plan
