JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for the safe transportation of guests between the hotel and various destinations. Assists at the Front Desk and maintains cleanliness of Inntowner vehicles, Front Desk, lobby, entrance and office areas during slow periods. Willing to cross train in other Front Desk positions.
HOURS
Usual shifts are 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. Weekend work is required, holiday work may be necessary according to scheduling demands. Should be available to work late as needed.
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a good driving record according to hotel driving policy.
Must have valid driver’s license. A CDL license is preferred.
Previous customer service experience required.
Minimum of two years good driving experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service skills required.
Familiarity with downtown Madison, UW campus and the airport strongly preferred.
Friendly, positive attitude required.
Must be punctual.
Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages beneficial.
Must maintain a professional, neat, clean appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
Ability to drive larger vehicles safely in city traffic.
Customer Service and Driving
Transports guests to and from area destinations in accordance with van run policy.
Checks van run schedule at start of shift and throughout shift to organize runs efficiently.
Keeps in close contact with Front Desk for schedule changes through use of the cell phone.
Gives directions and area information to guests as needed.
Drives to vendors for various hotel departments to pick up supplies and parts as needed.
Takes deposits to the bank as necessary.
Delivers and picks up all inter-company mail between Fiore offices and the InnTowner.
Guest Service/ Front Desk
Delivers luggage to guestrooms following the proper security procedures.
Prepares rollaway beds and delivers them to guest rooms as requested.
Resolves guest questions on tuning of television sets, radios and clocks.
Answers incoming calls and assists the Front Desk as needed.
Cleaning
Maintains Executive and Front Office cleanliness by taking out garbage, recycling, vacuuming, etc..
Empties trash cans and recycling containers in offices as needed.
Shovels snow from front entrance and sidewalk areas as needed.
Keeps lobby floor and entrance way clean and dry.
Vacuums vehicles carpets and cushions as needed.
Monitors lobby area continuously throughout each shift and maintains cleanliness of lobby as necessary.
Maintenance
Takes vehicles through the car wash when necessary.
Notifies supervisor of oil change necessities.
Checks all vehicle fluid

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Able to shovel snow from sidewalks and entryway, and mop and vacuum.
Able to work outside in weather conditions (Temperature will vary throughout the season).
Able to lift guest luggage in and out of vehicles and onto luggage rack in vehicles without undue strain.
Able to hear sufficiently to easily communicate with the front desk via the cell phone.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Able to work in an environment at a moderate noise level.
Able to drive safety in hazardous weather related situations.

Pay: $12.00 – $13.00 per hour
