An opportunity has arisen to become part of an innovative, forward-thinking operation within the Best Food logistics team, The Finance Manager will support Pret’s growth alongside Best Food. The Finance Manager will work with all functions within Best Food to gather relevant information to support the accounts and forecasting. The Finance Manager may need to work autonomously across other Best Food locations.
Purpose of Role:

• Be responsible for all the financial aspects of the site and provide support to both Operation and Central Finance.
• Act as the ‘bridge’ between BFL & Pret, ensure there is financial control and integrity with both fairness and transparency across the open book contract.
• Support DC management in achieving budget and targeted costs / KPI’s.
• To produce and publish weekly and period management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to help facilitate management decisions.
• Produce complete budget and forecast when required in conjunction with DC & Pret
• Advise site management of performance and deviation from budgets and forecasts. Provide and develop tools to help site control costs
• Financially evaluate, and advise accordingly, all operational changes to the site.
• Control KPI’s for the site.
• Part of Senior Management team at Hoddesdon
• Produce and evaluate weekly accounts pack. Work with operation to provide detailed commentary and present to Pret
• Produce and evaluate weekly KPI reporting.
• Accountable for all costs and income relating to Pret open book contract and being involved in any major financial decisions and processes
• Collate and present finance pack to senior management at monthly review meetings. ‘Waterfall’ graphs produced, and explanations of variances explained in conjunction with stakeholders
• Monitor and support of BFL cashflow and ensure all Pret accounts are adhering to payment terms and conditions.
• Leading the annual budget process for Hoddesdon Pret.
• Collation and reporting of BFL budget, reconciling costs charged to Pret on budgeted basis v actuals through the BFL accounts, and then true up exercise undertaken
• Develop and improve reporting and processes where opportunities for improvements exist.
• Project financial evaluation as and when required e.g pay negotiations.

Essential Skills:

• Accountancy knowledge.
• Excel essential.
• SAP knowledge advantageous.
• Open book accounting advantageous.
• Qualified CIMA / ACCA. / ACA
