To support their continued success and ensure continuous improvement, Elite Plumbing Services are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team, based in Melrose Park. This is a part-time position, offering flexible hours.

Expressions of interest from contractors or consultants are also welcome.

What you will be doing and will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Business Manager, the bookkeeper will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the current job management system, and supporting continuous improvement across all financial aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and report project costs against budgets
• Develop and maintain data integrity in “Simpro” (job management system).
• Monitoring supplier system inputs and ensuring data compatibility
• Implement system generated business improvements.
• Identify and rectify errors or discrepancies.
• Develop tools and reporting to identify opportunities and areas of improvement.
• Manage price list to ensure budgeted gross profits are achieved.
• Assist in other areas as required
• Develop and prepare finance reports for the Operations and General Manager

‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.

• Qualifications in accounting, finance or related field
• Experience in a similar, system focused accounting or finance role and the ability to demonstrate key skills in this area
• Exposure to or experience working in a blue-collar industry
• Knowledge of finance principles relevant to the construction industry and small businesses

• Experience in developing and maintaining job management systems.
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A problem-solver with attention to detail
• Highly developed critical and analytical thinking skills
