An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate programmer to join our company to design and develop applications as well as web-based systems, and many more. The role of software and applications programmer is required to develop and maintain systems and associated software.

The successful candidate will be required to work alone in this department, but will be working in a culture in which everyone is included, regardless of there role, age or how long you’ve been with the company.

Role:

• Designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
• Highly capable communicator, both written and verbal. The ability to understand other perspectives, articulate and advocate complex ideas.
• Providing specialist and technical advice and/or training
• Developing and maintaining up-to-date specialist or technical knowledge of new and innovative methodology, equipment, technology, data management and analysis in the field of specialisation

• Overseeing and undertaking all aspects of software engineering
• Overseeing and co-ordinating the day-to-day technical operations including; software implementation, functional and user testing, data collection activities, ensuring OHS and a safe operation, maintaining equipment and materials, waste disposal and ordering of devices and supplies
• Brilliant time management & prioritising skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Design, document and implement custom encryption and decryption algorithms to protect systems when extended or exposed to third party vendors or customers for the purpose of selling.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

• Tertiary / Degree qualification or relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or extensive industrial software development experience
• Strong skills in Python & Linux
