The role
We are looking for someone with experience working in an internal accounts team. This role services our CFO support client; it will be varied to keep you engaged and will encompass a wide range of functions. You’ll prioritise and juggle your tasks as well as build meaningful and genuine connections with your clients.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and attention to detail in a busy, changing work environment
- Bank reconciliations, entering sales and purchase transactions and making relevant payments.
- Assisting with debtor control.
- Monitoring creditor payments and working with the finance team around cashflow management.
- Support with the month-end process, including raising journals for accruals, depreciation and interest on loans.
- Management of relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
- Overseeing and training a small team of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable officers.
- Act as system administrator for various systems, including finance and rostering systems.
- Provide support and accounts information to the finance team with year end financial audits and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong customer service focus, professional integrity and confidentiality
- A demonstrated working knowledge of accounts to trial balance
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Engage with clients via face-to-face meetings, telephone and in writing to communicate advice and resolve queries.
- Preparation of reports and IAS/BAS Statements as required.
- Participate in systems implementations within the accounts division, such as new billing systems.
The need to haves
- Relevant bookkeeping experience (5+ Years)
- Excellent computer skills, including MYOB, XERO and Microsoft products
- Excellent attention to detail & communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines with accuracy
A+ if you have
- Bachelor of Business qualifications
- Payroll experience
- Previous experience with the aged care industry
- SAP Business By Design system experience
