Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD Looking for Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator at Leatherhead, Surrey Full Time

Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator – required for my client in their office near Leatherhead. The company specialise within the pilling sector and due to ongoing expansion are looking to grow the team with a Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator. The Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator will be working for a company that operate all over the UK working with a variety of Main Contractors and Sub-contractors. The Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator will be joining the Estimating / Design department.

The Trainee Design Engineer hold a HNC / HND or a degree qualified in the UK within a suitable Engineering discipline, Geotechnical / Civil / Structural or a Surveying background. The Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator will have knowledge of the pilling industry or within Geotechnics and have an interest in the commercial side of the business in order to be trained as an Estimator.

The ideal candidate will be sales orientated with a drive to excel in their career. Any experience within Estimating or pilling will be beneficial however not essential. The Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator will ensure that work is done to a defined standard and most importantly within budget.

Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator – Position Overview

• Providing Estimates and quotes for the company
• Liaise with the sales department and help to increase company’s sales
• Assist in the design work
• Build a good rapport with existing and new clients.
• Work in an office based environment
• Promote further tender invitations

Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator – Position Requirements

• HNC / HND or a degree qualified in a suitable Engineering discipline
• Interest or experience within pilling
• Interest in design and estimating
• Live close to Leatherhead
• Confident and capable of communicating with clients and other team members.
• UK driving Licence

Trainee Design Engineer / Estimator – Position Remuneration

• Salary £23K -£28K DOE
• Pension
• Holiday 28 days
• Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with 1 hour at lunch.
• Other benefits to be discussed at interview.
