Structural Test Technician / Junior Engineer – Required for our client that will be based out of there Central London Office. The Structural Test Technician will be working for a company that carry out on site structural testing and monitoring for complex civil engineering and demolition projects. This would suit a Materials Test Technician or Junior Site Engineer.

The Structural Test Technician should have 2 years’ experience on site with a site engineering, material testing, and structural surveying background. This role will suit an Engineer looking for that next step in their career to potential become an Operations Manager.

Experience with plate bearing tests, pull out tests or these types of structural tests. Would be a site-based role – going to various sites doing tests, and then producing a technical report afterwards. A clear understanding of how reinforced concrete structures and steel frame structures buildings are constructed would be advantageous.

Structural Test Technician / Junior Engineer Position Overview

• site testing / inspections
• Structural: Testing, monitoring & investigating.
• Surveying: 3D scanning, ferro scanning, 3D photo scanning, monitoring.
• Producing RAMS & detailed reports including 3D sketches.
• Preparing tenders and quotations for works

Structural Test Technician / Junior Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree qualified engineer in MEng or BEng
• 2 years + site experience
• Experience of site testing / inspections
• Able to write and check technical method statements and reports
• Commercially aware
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry structures and construction materials

Structural Test Technician / Junior Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary up to £30K DOE
• 25 days Holiday annually
