Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD Looking for Structural CAD Technician at Lymington, Hampshire Full Time

Structural CAD Technician- Required for our client who are a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy for their office in the New Forest. This progressive opportunity for a junior level Structural CAD Technician will lead the Technician to potential chartered membership through CPD Training.

The Structural CAD Technician will be working on a wide range of services including both domestic and commercial sectors, designing new developments, SIPS designs, domestic extensions, and will potentially be involved in carrying out structural surveys. The Structural CAD Technician will have a HNC / HND in a related subject and have on knowledge within the Civil or Structural Engineering field and have a good work ethic to fit in with a small team.

The successful Structural CAD Technician will have knowledge of AutoCAD, any knowledge of BIM is advantageous. The Engineer ideally be will be recently chartered or soon to be chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Structural CAD Technician Position Overview

• Create detailed technical drawings in 2D
• Create plans and detailed technical drawings supplied by architects and designers
• Perform Structural detailing
• Liaise with architects, engineers and designers
• Conduct site visits where required

Structural CAD Technician Position Requirements

• HNC / HND in a Civil or Structural Engineering / Construction Discipline
• Ability to liaise with clients and contractors;
• Ability to use software such as AutoCAD
• Live in or close to New Forest
• Experience in RC detailing Beneficial

Structural CAD Technician Position Remuneration

• Salary Dependant on Experience
• Paid overtime
• Performance related bonus
• Mileage rate paid for business travel
• One paid working day per month allocated for CPD
