Site Technician / Structural Test Technician Required for our client that will be based out of there Central London Office. The Site Technician / Structural Test Technician will be working for a company carry out on site structural testing and monitoring for complex civil engineering and demolition projects. The Site Technician / Structural Test Technician will work on a range of site investigation projects across London and the Home Counties.

The Site Technician / Structural Test Technician should have 1 years’ experience on site with a site engineering, material testing, and structural surveying background. Experience with plate bearing tests, pull out tests or these types of structural tests. This will be a site-based role – going to various sites doing tests, and then producing a technical report afterwards. A clear understanding of how reinforced concrete structures and steel frame structures buildings are constructed would be advantageous.

Site Technician / Structural Test Technician Position Overview

• Driving from site to site, carrying out tests
• Recording results to allow engineers to compile reports for clients
• Using various specialist testing equipment and undertaking in-situ testing
• Carrying out Plate Bearing Tests, Shear Vane Tests and Dynamic cone penetrometer tests
• Carry out a number of other structural tests; such as pull out tests, load capacity tests, barrier tests, and more.
• The candidate will be expected to take a leading role, get actively involved and become an integral part of the team.

Site Technician / Structural Test Technician Position Requirements

• At least 1 year on site experience as a site technician or with material testing
• Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level C or equivalent
• Capable of impartially recording data and keeping site records
• Clear communicator, both written and spoken English
• Clean UK manual driving licence
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of structures and construction materials
• Willing to work on site in adverse weather conditions

Site Technician / Structural Test Technician Position Remuneration

• Salary £25K – £30k
• 25 days Holiday annually
• Training in the use of various specialist testing equipment
• Company van will be provided
