Senior Quantity Surveyor– required to join a multi-award winning Civil Engineering contractor based in Southampton. This role will be for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be visiting sites across the M27 corridor. The company that the Senior Quantity Surveyor would be working for is a well-established Civil Engineering company and they now provide high quality services and products to Construction companies and clients.

The projects the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on include some well-known UK house builders working on groundwork projects. The company the Senior Quantity Surveyor will work for predominantly specialise in the Civil Engineering sector, so experience within this sector is desirable. Ideal Quantity Surveyor will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning and leading Civil Engineering company. Proven experience within the Civil Engineering sector would be highly beneficial and advantageous to be successful within this role

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

• Preparing bills of quantities
• Measuring construction works
• Making sure that construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible
• Resolving disputes between contracting parties
• Attending meetings
• Interim valuations on existing contracts, Re-measurement, Pre pricing of variations
• Liaise with Contracts Managers/Foremen
• Preparation and agreeing final accounts and cost value reports,
• Resolving disputes between contracting parties
• Prepare cash flow forecasts.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• BSc or HND in quantity surveying
• Financially astute
• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Knowledge of Measuring Construction works
• Living in or close to the Southampton area
• Experience in Civil Engineering / Groundworks

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

• Salary: up to £65K DOE
• Car or car allowance
• 20 days’ holiday + Bank Holiday (can increase up to 25 days)
• Tax Free Bonus
• Pension
