The individual in this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounts receivable function.

Responsibilities

1. Provides extraordinary guest service, positively effects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
2. Assists with the scanning and preparation of information used as part of the daily accounts payable process. This includes picking up information from the warehouse and
matching receiving documentation with purchase orders and invoices.
3. Assists with non-gaming audit functions as directed by the Controller and Director of Finance.
4. Participates in property inventory counts and variance resolution.
5. Assists with contacting Belterra’s guest in order to collect outstanding credit items, returned checks and accounts receivables.
6. Assists with the auditing, invoicing, recording and reconciling of accounts receivables in order to ensure that all work is completed on a timely basis.
7. Prepares information that is accurate, timely, and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
8. Communicates with other company personnel records are accurate and complete.
9. Anticipates ongoing changes, problems and opportunities in order to maintain effective systems and procedures.
10. Ensures that accounts receivable information is accurate, timely and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
11. Prepares and submits required reports to the Indiana Gaming Commission.
12. Other duties and tasks as assigned.

• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and 10-key calculator.
• Ability to review, comprehend and respond to all necessary reports and documentation.
• Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to sit and perform data entry for extended periods of time.

What are we looking for?

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements helpful.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field and three years’ experience in accounting. Supervisory experience preferred.’
