A Logistics Specialist job in West Melbourne, FL is currently accepting applications. This is a direct position with our key client.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packing, and processing shipments both domestic, and internationally.

Shipment responsibilities are primarily generated from sales orders but also all company demands for shipping including internal and external requests.

To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma along with 2+ years of related experience.

Logistics Specialist Job Responsibilities :

Prepare customer orders for shipment including packaging, and paperwork

Verify parts on pick lists for accurate shipments

Process shipments through ERP system for customer orders

Process shipments through carrier based software (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship)

Prepare paperwork for both domestic and international shipments including but not limited to : Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Commodity database information

Coordinate LTL pickups both on-site and remote with third party forwarders to ensure the best price and transit times

Plans shipment schedules to meet both internal and external delivery.

Logistics Specialist Job Requirements :

High School Diploma

IATA Dangerous Goods Certification preferred

2+ years of related experience

Understanding of international shipping requirements

Sound packing skills for safe and reliable transport

Able to operate a pallet jack

Proficient with various Microsoft Office Applications

Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills

Good analytical skills

Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Able to work independently and as part of a team
