About The Position
Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for an inpatient behavioral health role in Ottumwa, Iowa. This role is on an inpatient behavioral health unit that provides mental health treatment and crisis support to an adult patient population (18+). The unit has 14 beds and offers 24/7 supervision in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting where patients may present with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program REQUIRED
- Current Iowa RN license or compact license REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) REQUIRED
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
- Recent RN experience REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Acute care behavioral health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and identify care needs
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care based on patient condition and age
- Complete documentation related to medical necessity
- Maintain and revise interdisciplinary care plans
- Perform quality improvement assessments
