Job Summary

Begina Education Centre runs a pre-school program teaching children Phonics and Maths through interactive music, books and play. We are looking for a graduate/educator that loves working with and teaching kids to join our dynamic and growing team.

This roll will be performing teaching online with Zoom, face to face class teaching also might be arranged should candidate’s location suitable.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for people who:

• Are patient, mature, responsible and reliable
• Have a willingness to learn with a can-do attitude
• Have good communication skills
• Funny, outgoing, able to making the online class full of fun and able engage young students
• Has previous Phonics or start up math teaching experiences
• Local primary teaching experience is highly desirable
• Can play an instrument (guitar or keyboard) would be an advantage

What the job requires:

• Plan and run the program independently
• Teach children in groups of up to 8, aged between 3-5 years old
• Track the progress of each child and communicate to parents
• Set up/pack up the room (if teach in face to face class in our centre)

HOURS OF WORK

We run classes Monday-Friday throughout the school term from 10 am to 1 pm. At the moment we will need online class teacher, working hours can be in the evening time, or weekend Saturday during the day.

There is an opportunity for full-time hours across locations.

Qualifications and Skills

REQUIREMENTS

– Have a cleared paid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)

– Finished an Education degree (we are not looking for students; minimum Diploma level)

– Have at least 1 year of employed experience with young children (0-5 years old)

– English is your native/first language

– Must be funny and outgoing personality, know how to make young students laugh and engage.

We are willing to consider individual circumstances if teacher qualification really matches our needs.
