Due to continued growth and expansion, Bedspace now has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract.

We’re looking for someone that has a passion for what we do, transforming the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people. You will be proactive, determined and have a keen eye for detail with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours a week Monday – Friday. Some home working may be possible but the successful applicant must be prepared to be in the office full time if needed.

About you:

• Knowledge of Excel and Excel functions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Knowledge of Sage 50 desirable
• Good knowledge of accounting practices

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Processing and posting purchase invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Processing credit card transactions
• Supplier query resolution
• Supplier payments
• Managing Petty Cash
• Clearing historical purchase ledger transactions
• Clearing historical sales ledger balances
• Posting customer payments
• Matching Customer payments to invoices
• Create rental statements
