Bednark Studio Inc Hiring for Logistics Lead at Brooklyn, New York, United States Full Time

Bednark Studio is seeking a skilled Logistics Lead to oversee our warehouse and offsite activities based in Brooklyn. The Logistics Lead will not only be responsible for managing all aspects of logistics but will also take charge of the pack and wrap process for entire jobs.

This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in New York City, with a solid understanding of inventory management, proper packing techniques, and handling delicate and valuable objects.

Trucking experience is essential.

The Logistics Lead will to the Logistics Manager and play a pivotal role in project completion.

During the trial period, compensation is set at $27 per hour. Upon successful completion of the trial and transition to full-time employment, the pay rate increases to $30 per hour.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Take ownership of the pack and wrap process for entire jobs, from start to finish.
• Receive necessary job information and materials from the Logistics Manager and ensure all elements are procured for job completion.
• Oversee the careful packing, wrapping, and securing of items to ensure safe storage and transportation.
• Lead and coordinate logistics assistants to ensure timely completion of the job, delegating responsibilities effectively.
• Execute deliveries within Bednark or to businesses as required.
• Prepare meticulous paperwork, including photography, detailed inspection s, bills of lading, labels, etc.
• Receive and release shipments at the warehouse.
• Pack inventory for local, national, and international transportation and storage.
• Provide support to internal teams as needed.
• Be prepared for regular overtime during busy periods including late nights and weekends, thus requiring a flexible schedule.
• Undertake other projects as assigned by the Manager.

Key Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, including truck driving and art handling.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management, packing techniques, and handling delicate objects.Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, both with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to escalate issues as necessary.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as carry 60 pounds without mechanical aid.
• Capability to carry up to 60 pounds of varying sizes and shapes over a distance of 90 feet.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead.
• Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies, and other necessary warehouse equipment.
• Forklift Certified.
