ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a friendly and keen person to join the amazing team at Bedford. We are seeking someone with a financial or business interest. We need someone with numeracy skills, the ability to be analytical, strategic and have a natural flare for business development. You will need to be flexible and prepared to support the wider team. The role is varied between supporting the finance department and our Registrar and CEO approximately 3 days per week, each week will be different as the role will move between finance and administration tasks.

You will be working directly with the CEO, Finance Manager and Registrar.

DUTIES:

• Assist with the completion of month-end reports; bank and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Assist with preparation of the month-end and year-end Accounts Pack for review;
• Support to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions;
• Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities and opportunities for automation of processes;
• Assist the Registrar with day to day business/administration tasks;
• Assist the CEO with any business/administration related tasks;
• Administration tasks to help keep the College running smoothly (filing, answering telephone, reviewing policies etc…)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Finance Qualifications (or working toward)
• Knowledge of technical accounting skills
• Microsoft Office Suite – Sound excel skills essential
• Xero accounting software experience (or willingness to be trained in Xero)
• Strong customer focus
• Able to manage and build relationships both internally and externally
• Excellent written and oral communication skills – articulate
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Flexibility, dependability and act in a manner with confidentiality
• Courteous and friendly
• Ability to learn new skills
• WWCC
• Divers Licence
• Australian work visa
