Bedford Borough Council Hiring for Education Advisor Virtual School Job at Bedford, England Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Virtual School for Looked After Children. The Virtual School is responsible for improving the educational outcomes of children who are Looked After by Bedford Borough.

The role will require the successful candidate to work closely with schools and educational establishments to ensure that they are meeting their statutory duties for our children and young people. As an Education Advisor you will be expected to conduct visits to schools, both in and out of county, to provide support and challenge to school staff. The successful candidate should have experience of working with children in care and be passionate about the outcomes of these children and young people. In return you can expect to work in a supportive and friendly team who are committed to ensuring that educational outcomes for children in Bedford Borough are the best possible.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If your application is successful you will be required to declare any spent and unspent convictions, adult cautions (simple or conditional) that are not “protected” as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020).
