Responsibilities For Substitute School Nurses Include
- Serve as an on call substitute school nurse at any of our schools
- Conduct school health services, including physical examinations, immunizations, tests for hearing and vision, based on State Health and Department of Education guidelines.
- Assume responsibility for selection and referral of students in need of medical and dental care.
- to parents, school personnel, physician, clinics, and other agencies on school medical matters
- Tend to an emergency situation for students and staff personnel.
- Document students’ visits to the nurse’s office.
- Administer necessary nursing procedures based on students’ needs and doctor’s orders.
Eligible candidates MUST hold a current RN license with bachelor’s degree or currently have a School Nurse Teacher certification issued by RIDE.

Compensation: $300/ 8 hour day or hourly equivalent
