The Role
Provide a client focused human resources service to all managers and staff in globally which supports Beazley’s business objectives. Proactively work as part of the global Culture and People team.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Adviser
Act as an internal adviser to the business, providing knowledge, solutions and advice on people related matters.
Build strong working relationships with key business areas and develop strong product knowledge of business and product lines.
Maintain a clear understanding of Beazley’s growth strategy and conduct manpower planning with line managers, ensuring these are aligned to the wider people strategy and working with the rest of Culture and People as appropriate.
Keep the rest of the Employee Experience team, and wider Culture and People team, up to date on developments in your business area, discussing trends and concerns as appropriate.
Recruitment
Advise and assist the hiring managers on all aspects of the process including recruitment strategy, shortlisting candidates, interviewing and offers.
Challenge hiring managers on candidate selection as appropriate, and influence them to result in better decision making.
Monitor and advise on headcount, challenging the business on extra budgetary and other positions where appropriate
Work with the reward team to benchmark roles across the industry using internal data, externally compiled data, and agency resources.
Employee Relations
Regularly meet with your business units to keep your “finger on the pulse” of any people related issues, both current and upcoming, and work with the Head of Employee Experience to feed this into the wider people strategy.
Advise, guide and coach managers on all people related issues, including performance.
Manage formal employee relations cases referring to Head of Employee Experience, Head of Culture and People and/or outside counsel as required.
Support managers to appropriately assess their talent and ensure that they are having effective development conversations, supporting career progression and succession planning within their team.
Keep up to date and curious on employment law updates affecting the business.
Change Management
Work on complex projects as required by the Head of Employee Experience on an ad hoc basis
Run change programmes as required within a fast-paced environment, ensuring that a balance is always made between the needs of the business and the employee experience
Work with the internal communications teams, and potentially external, to ensure that they are aligned on any change being undertaken and the Beazley brand and culture is embedded throughout the process
Facilitate change within your business units on all levels, from small scale cultural/mindset changes to redundancies/restructures, ensuring any change is embedded and appropriate mechanisms are in place to assess its effectiveness going forward.

Knowledge and Experience
