Lifeline Australia is a national suicide prevention charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. They are committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through connection, compassion and hope.

Lifeline exists to ensure that “no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone” and this is achieved through a partnership of over 10,000 committed volunteers and their member centres in communities across the nation.

About The Role

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing and delivering Lifeline’s social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Your Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To

• Be responsible for the ideation and creation of content for the Lifeline channels in addition to working with the Digital products team to bring these content ideas to life.
• Collaborate with both the National Marketing and Content manager and Marketing Manager to support the creation and development of content strategy across all the Lifeline channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
• Proactively engage with the online audience / potential audience to create a real sense of community.
• Create monthly s displaying social media performance as well as the growth areas and recommendations for next month.
• Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and implement them in the channels to reach and engage more of an audience.
• Other related duties as required.

In this role, you will also support with marketing initiatives to help support the wider marketing team.

The Successful Candidate

With previous experience in a Social Media Management position (ideally with a background working for NFP organisations). You will have excellent campaign conceptualisation with skills in graphic design, short-form copywriting, and of course social media.

You Will Also Need

• To be passionate about creating compelling content
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Skills in editing and producing video content
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a fun team in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine interest in working for a mental heath charity
