We are looking for a Technical Recruiter to join this exciting team as we continue to grow our team, and deliver quality and innovative products to our customers! Your role will be responsible for attracting top-end talent, providing an exceptional candidate experience, and ultimately securing ‘ A Players’ to join the Bean team! Whilst the main focus of this role will be talent acquisition for Beanworks, the role will also report in to Quadient and their TA team, and assist with their global hiring needs as required.
Location: We are open to this position being based anywhere in North America, but will be working mostly in Pacific timezone, and must be willing to travel to the Vancouver office semi-regularly.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with hiring managers to understand recruiting needs, business objectives, and the required candidate job level, experience, characteristics, and competencies
As the subject matter expert, proactively work with People & Culture and hiring managers to create sourcing strategies, screen qualified internal/external candidates, define the selection, participate in offer presentation, negotiations and close
Be the expert on our recruitment methodology, Topgrading, and continuously work on ways to improve the recruiting process and candidate experience
Actively source passive candidates through use of online tools, and unique sourcing techniques from internal job postings, job board mining, internet searches, social networking, and employee referrals
Build out and maintain a network of engaged and qualified candidates, ready to step in to a Bean role at any time
Conduct necessary external research and build communication strategies and campaigns to attract talents on a large scale
Identify new ways to build awareness of Beanworks in new hiring markets
Ensure compliance with legal regulations regarding recruitment
Facilitate an impressive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process in close collaboration with hiring manager; personalized communication, timely feedback, and interviewer preparedness
Manage university relations and career events
Managing vendors (agencies, search firms, research firms etc.) to drive the recruitment process toward successful conclusion
Providing regular reports on recruitment activity
Manage all administration of candidate records in our HRIS and ATS systems
Who You Are:
It’s really important that you’ve worked in tech/software :)
Relevant recruitment experience – at any level! It’s more important that we find the right fit, rather than years of experience.
An understanding of how to find technical talent – you speak the engineering/product language. Experience recruiting for software engineers, developers, product managers, etc. is a huge asset!
You can use innovative research & sourcing methods to hire for niche areas and hard to fill technical roles
Expertise in competing with top technology companies
Exceptional work ethic coupled with a sense of humour
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative, build strong, productive relationships
Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented environment
Must be proficient in MS Office applications and have hands-on experience with web-based applicant tracking systems and candidate sourcing tools
